ORDA, which stands for Oda Research and Development Association, holds significant value and respect in Ethiopia, akin to Çınar in Turkiye. Oda and Çınar trees symbolize important socio-political values in Ethiopia and Turkiye, respectively. The longevity and resilience of these trees connect the past to the future, imparting lessons of patience, wisdom, and mutual support.

ORDA primarily focuses on enhancing the human capital of Ethiopian students in Turkiye. It undertakes projects, research, and programs directly aimed at bringing about long-term changes to improve the lives of disadvantaged communities in Ethiopia.

Vision

Oda Research and Development Association (ORDA) envisions a competent and cultured workforce capable of lifting Ethiopian society out of poverty and creating a resilient community capable of solving its own problems and challenges.

Mission

ORDA's mission is to provide technical support for the establishment and development of research and development projects in Ethiopia, in collaboration with governmental and non-governmental institutions in Ethiopia, Turkiye, and around the world.

Ethiopia

Ethiopia is the oldest independent country in Africa and the world. The country, which comprises more than 80 ethnic groups, is the second most populated country next to Nigeria, with a population of more than 100 million. Unique among African countries, Ethiopia has never been colonized.
